In September of 2025, we lost our dear friend and colleague, David Bolgiano of El Dorado Media Company. His passing was sudden and deeply felt, not only within FLEAS, but throughout the Little Elm community he so generously served.
David was part of FLEAS from the very beginning. Before we had a name anyone recognized or a mission fully formed, David reached out—entirely unsolicited—and offered to design a logo for our fledgling organization. What he created was far more than a graphic. He captured the heart of who we are. That logo remains a proud symbol of our mission today and a daily reminder of David’s belief in our work before most people even knew we existed.
From that first gift of his talent, David became a cornerstone of FLEAS. Over the years, he developed and maintained our website, designed our graphics and marketing materials, and helped shape the visual identity that allowed our organization to grow, connect, and be taken seriously in the broader community. His work gave us credibility, consistency, and a voice.
But David’s contributions cannot be measured solely in projects completed or designs delivered. He gave his time freely, his creativity generously, and his heart fully. He cared deeply about the animals we serve and the families behind every story. His spirit was woven into the fabric of FLEAS in ways both visible and unseen.
As we celebrate what FLEAS accomplished in 2025, we recognize that none of it exists in a vacuum. It was built on the foundation laid by people like David—people who showed up, believed in the mission, and gave without expectation of recognition.
David’s absence is still profoundly felt. Yet his legacy lives on in the organization he helped shape, the community he strengthened, and the work that continues every day because of his early faith in FLEAS.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to David’s family and friends. Little Elm—and FLEAS—are better because of him. He will always be remembered, and he will never be forgotten.
